Reiki Master

When describing the different levels of Reiki one can become confused and even fearful of the term Master when describing Reiki. Images of holistic practices that are unknown are scary to the average person who is ignorant of the exact practices and procedures of this approach.

There are 3 different levels of Reiki that one can follow through with and during the 3rd level one can attain to become a Reiki Master. With all the different variations of Reiki out there you may wonder exactly what is a master? Basically, through the final stage of Reiki training you will be able to train others as you have learnt yourself. There are many distinguishing attributes that you must inspire for in order to be a teacher of this art.

A person who has the designation of a Reiki Master or teacher has made a lifelong commitment to the art, and is completely consumed with the thoughts, ideals, values, and practices of the system of Reiki. They are the only ones who are designated to teach others the methods of Reiki and receive a special Master Attunement.

Becoming a master is a great responsibility and should not be taken lightly. It takes sometimes years of practice and study in order to bring oneself to the point of a Master. Although there is not a specific medical designation, it is still very highly regarded in the field of alternative medicine practices. You must examine yourself to see if you are definitely called to be a master where you can commit time to practicing Reiki full time and yet devote yourself to teaching others as well. It takes a very special type of person to be able to dedicate him or herself to helping others focus on their natural abilities.

Reiki Masters may find that once they complete their training an entirely different world opens up for them. They may feel more connected to the universe or even more inner cleansing and unwanted blockages released from your aura. These are not strange things to have happen. As you train and dedicate your time to Reiki you will notice a higher personal awareness. This should not deter you from wanting to continue on in your studies.

Many Reiki teachers have different opinions on the fees that they charge for their classes. Some students may feel that since this is a natural energy source, the learning process should be freely available to anyone who wishes to try. Although that is ultimately true, you must endure many hours of training and practices in order to obtain the attunements and be qualified to teach others. So what are you to charge? It is usually necessary to charge a fee in order to continue with the study of this ancient art just as any other holistic or alternative medicine may charge you for a service. Do not feel as though you are taking advantage of your students by charging a fee, learning Reiki is a process and one must make the effort to retain the status of a health care provider in this day and age.

However long it takes for you to attain the final level is ultimately up to you. Dedication and personal growth are the main driving forces for you to complete your levels to reach teacher status. Take your individual learning at your own pace, do not rush through hoping to reach Master status too early and once you get there, you will feel more fulfilled than you have ever been.

Quick Reiki Tip #3

Reiki healing is an ancient Japanese technique for promoting better health. Usually administered by physical contact with the hands. It is based on the idea that energy flows through humans. When that force is low, humans are at a greater risk for illness or disease. When the force is elevated, individuals are happier and healthier.
